Multi-dimension of acidosis and rumen health, a key challenge

Announcing the first Acidosis and Rumen Health Satellite Conference, around the 10th International Symposium on the Nutrition of Herbivores

At the occasion of the 10th edition of the International Symposium on the Nutrition of Herbivores (ISNH), a satellite conference dedicated to acidosis and rumen health will be organized by Lallemand Animal Nutrition in partnership with the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA). The satellite conference, titled “Multi-dimension of acidosis and rumen health, a key challenge in the context of livestock precision farming”, will take place on Thursday, September 6, from 13:30 to 18.30, in Clermont-Ferrand Polydôme, in France. ISNH is an international scientific conference organized by INRA, which addresses a whole range of issues linked to the nutrition of herbivores in production systems or in the wild. The 10th edition takes place September 2nd-6th 2018, in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

During the complementary satellite conference, a selection of international ruminant experts will discuss the risk factors linked to feeding management and the strategies to limit these factors. Taking a microbiologist approach, the conference will then demonstrate how the invisible can become visible, by looking at the rumen microbiota modes of actions and interactions, and direct and indirect consequences on animal health and behavior. The complete program of the Satellite conference can be found at https://symposium.inra.fr/isnh2018/Acidosis-Rumen-Health-Satellite

The 10th International Symposium on the Nutrition of Herbivores conference will be a forum to discuss herbivore nutrition supporting agro-ecological and sustainable intensification approaches. The sessions of the Symposium will cover basic herbivores nutrition to nutritional strategies to improve nutritional efficiency, product quality, health and animal welfare, and environmental issues.
