Yeast derivatives

After fermentation, the yeast biomass can be specifically treated so that it is no longer alive, thus avoiding further cell multiplication. These are known as yeast derivatives.

The main purpose of using yeast cell walls is to bind undesirable bacteria in the gut, help reinforce the animal immune system and natural defenses, adsorb certain mycotoxins, and support skin health protection of fish.

Some specific yeast fractions can be used alone or in combination to enhance feed palatability, support digestive care and animal performance, or to contribute to the feed protein balance.
