Lallemand Animal Nutrition, sponsor of the 40th Journée de la Recherche Equine

(Blagnac, France)- Lallemand Animal Nutrition confirms its commitment and interest in equine research by sponsoring the annual French Equine Research Congress (Journée de la Recherche Equine), March 18, in Paris. This is the French annual event dedicated to equine research, organised by the French Institute of horse and horse ridding (Institut français du cheval et de l’équitation) and the National Institute for Agronomical Research (INRA).

After an update of the most recent equine research, covering various areas from breeding to horse behaviour and equestrian performances, the 2014 edition focuses on epidemiology and pathology. The congress combines oral presentations by experts with scientific posters, leaving room for exchange and discussion. One of the oral presentations, by Dr Jean-Marc Betsch, DVM, concerns an innovative study with live yeast supplementation to gestating ponies and newborn foal, showing its impact on the foal microflora establishment.
