2nd BACTOCELL® layers technical day
Jul 16, 2013

(Rennes – France) Few months after the authorization of BACTOCELL® DRINK in drinking water, Lallemand Animal Nutrition organized its second technical day dedicated to BACTOCELL® layers. Around 30 people from the poultry market gathered in Rennes on the 26th of June.
During half a day, different subjects around hens’ microflora were treated. Several speakers succeeded each other, offering us diverse and complementary presentations: Sophie Jan from Agrocampus, Hervé Morvan from LDA 22, and Adeline Huneau from ANSES.
The talks moved around the microflora contamination, addressing topics such as: Bacteria of the Bacillus cereus group in egg products, a focus on E.coli bacteria and antibiotic resistance, and the contamination of egg shells. This meeting extended with a presentation by Audrey Sacy about Pediococcus acidilactici MA18/15 role in microflora control on farm.
Hubert Gabard – poultry producer (association « Les Hardys Béhélec ») and user of BACTOCELL® for 2 years – closed the meeting. He exposed several results and observations of farmer, showing that BACTOCELL® was a reliable solution to secure a farm, even in a difficult context.
Always in order to link science and practice/reality, this event was the opportunity for Lallemand Animal Nutrition, to show its growing investment in poultry research.
