On the 16th and 19th December 2013, Dr Mohammed Khettou (Africa – Middle East Territory Manager) organized with a group of Iranian Nutritionists and animal nutrition experts a trip during one week in France.
First they met Dr Frédérique Chaucheyras-Durand at INRA Theix (France)and they discovered the complex functioning of the rumen microflora. They also visited the dairy cows experimental station of INRA.
The trip continued with a visit of Guibert’s pilot farm (France) in which Aurelien Piron, Lallemand Ruminant technical manager Was pleased to present the “field-led-science-supported” rumen efficiency audit program developed by Lallemand Animal Nutrition: the Rumen School.
The day finished by a visit of dairy goat pilot farm, where our Iranian invitees were impressed by the quality of farm management of this specific production. The third day was organized in collaboration with a French customer (Bertrand company). We visited two farms (one specialized in both beef and wine production and a dairy farm), nice discussions occurred around diet composition and raw materials cost within the group. The group who attended this event represent about 50 000 cows and average is at least 1500 milking cows. However, all of them were very reactive and ask many questions about dairy science concern and silage and they showed a big interest in Lallemand product especially LEVUCELL®SC ALKOSEL®, AGRIMOS® and LALSIL®.
The last day Julien Sindou Silage Product Manager presented to Iranians guest silage news which generate lot of questions and interest.
The event was really a success, and most of the participants were looking forward To the same kind of events in the close future.
