Webinar : Heat stress – is it really a problem for our cows?

Heat stress in dairy cows is often underestimated in the UK and Ireland, but it can have a profound effect on both long-term and short-term production, health and fertility. Heat stress can affect cows from as low as 18ºC and cause production losses ranging from 40 to 100 litres/cow over the three hottest months of the year, reported by Dr Tom Chamberlain, founder of Chalcombe.

Lallemand Animal Nutrition, in conjunction with Dr Tom Chamberlain and 4 dairy farmers who are monitoring heat stress on their farms, are holding an insightful webinar on 3rd June to discuss what heat stress is, how it can affect your farm, and what can be done to manage it.

The webinar will be focused on the farmers, outlining why they wanted to be involved in this project and what steps they have taken to manage heat stress on their farms. Tom will discuss practical tips to manage heat stress in dairy cows based on the latest research.
