Trial shows inoculated silage increases milk solids and litres sold

A recent trial at Reading University’s CEDAR unit showed that using the silage inoculant MAGNIVA Platinum Grass Dry to optimise silage fermentation: 

  • Improved the aerobic stability of grass silage 
  • Increased the feedable dry matter by 29% 

Feeding this MAGNIVA treated silage to mid-lactation Holstein cows also resulted in:

Improved dry matter intakes of lactating cows 

Improved milk protein levels 

Improved milk fat levels

Improved fat-corrected milk yields +1.9kg/cow/day
